[PC] Controller/Gamepad not recognized by DA:I

My XBox One controller isn't working with the PC version of DA:I.

I've downloaded the PC drivers for the controller (again), disabled the Origin overlay, and verified that GstInput.GamePad 1 isn't GstInput.GamePad 0 in the ProfileOptions_profile folder.

Yes, I've tried several USB ports.

Frustrated and cranky. Suggestions would be appreciated - I'm going to read comics for a while.

Try unplugging your keyboard prior to starting the game from the desktop. I found my other USB devices (keyboard and mouse) were showing as joystick on HID list. Once I verified that worked, I just disabled the specific driver in HID list and now I don't need to unplug anything anymore. I have the Razer Deathstalker Ultimate and Naga mouse. It's worked for a few others as well.
