I just got home and have tested this one method of which I found when searching for possible solution.

Yeah...it is another game but same problem - CTD no error. Well, after applying the proposed direction...game still crash (almost immediately) after I got into the game. On positive note, no time wasted there to know whether it works or not.
I have also downloaded GameBooster as proposed by some that it may help to minimize the crash by closing unnecessary programs while gaming. Nope, didn't help.
I will now attempt to uninstall driver as proposed by middlefngrsalute.
Thanks, foneshome for your suggestions. I'll try them if what middlefngrsalute suggested doesn't work. And no, I don't think we are in the minority. The forum is flooded with these CTD posts. I guess the devs still haven't found a solution to this but instead put priority in fixing other things like rubbery hair and lack of chat between companions. It baffles me though because those issues are minor compared to you can't bloody play when game crashes so badly. So, yeah, get your priority right please, devs.
Currently, I'm stuck in the transition from (SPOILERS ALERT) the aftermath of the battle in Haven to Skyhold. There is a part with the longest cutscenes of which you can't skip and save. That is where the CTD are coming. This will be my fourth attempt to get through that part. Needless to say it is so frustrating to go through that repeatedly.
I'll update you guys whether the said workaround works.
