[PC] DAI Trouble with Mod Manager after first time modding

Recently I had downloaded one mod using the mod manager to "test the waters" as it seemed more complex than using Vortex. After successfully getting the mod to work, I decided to add a few more mods, but when I boot up the mod manager I am greeted with the message  "You *MUST* have a version of the Official Patch to be able to use mods." I have tried troubleshooting by using tips from other forms, but was unsuccessful in resolving the issue. One thing that I noticed is that in the mod manager configuration setting the patch version is permanently set to -1, regardless if I edit and save. I thought this problem may be due to the patch version of the Official Patch and Merged Patch but they look normal to me. The Official is set to ver. 12 while the merged is set to ver. 13

Any Ideas on what I should do?

  • @Gam3rDio Delete your merged mod folder and your patch folder, then run a repair through Origin, see if that helps.

I always made it a habit to delete the previous merged folder before doing a new merge, hopefully make this sort of thing less likely to happen.

  • Thanks a lot, I didn't think that a simple solution like that would work. I will definitely keep that tip in mind for future modding.

    Wish you the best.
