[PC] Dragon Age II Will Not Launch on Surface Pro 7
I am attempting to play Dragon Age 2 (purchased on steam) on my Surface Pro 7. I have checked to ensure my computer has the requirements to play the game and they seem to all be met. I have receiving this error linked below, which is: "This game will not run in a virtual environment. Please use your main Windows environment to play."
I have already, as per advice from previous posters with this issue on here and other forums, turned off Core Isolation security, and checked if Hyper-V is running (it is not. I have also checked and "Virtual Machine Platform" and "Windows Hypervisor Platform" are also turned off. This is shown in another attached image). I have also attempted trying to run the game itself in Windows 7 compatibility mode as well as administrator mode. I end up receiving the same error.
Dragon Age: Origins ran without issue for me for the last month of daily play. I would consider it unreasonable for me to be unable to play simply because of the type of computer I have, despite being able to play multiple other equally demanding games of the same era.
If there is another solution that doesn't require me to severely alter my PC I'd like to know- I will accept more drastic solutions if need be, but I don't have the know-how or means to do as much as others without very explicit instruction. Thank you.
This is likely a system requirements issue, compare your Surface Pro 7 to the game requirements below.
