[PC] Dragon Age: Inquisition - Crash to desktop on startup, no loading symbol.
Hey there guys, my Dragon Age: Inquisition GOTY Edition has been working just fine for about 30 hours of gameplay now, with nearly no lag or stutters of any kind. This only changed when I tried to start it up from Origin lately. The synching cloud save box appears, the black window goes fullscreen but before the symbol and ring appear in the bottom corner appear, and the game crashes to desktop with no error notification. I've checked the task manager to see if its going on still in the background, but there is no trace of it. So far I have tried repairing the game on origin, totally uninstalling and reinstalling it, updating my Nvidia Geforce 980 graphics card, adjusting the 3D settings in the Nvidia Control Panel, getting the most up-to-date DirectX and turning off the origin overlay, none of which has worked. I would very much appreciate any help that anyone can give, as I have spent the best part of a week searching for a fix. Here is my Hastebin, if it helps:

One fix I found said to delete my saves, but me being gullible has gotten me into scrapes before and I wanted to wait for a hopefully more reliable opinion, as 30 hours is a big chunk of time to invest in any game. I would say that I have a standard setup aside from the fact that I installed Inquisition on a 1 terabyte drive so it doesn't clog up my SSD. To the best of my knowledge, this didn't even happen after a patch either.
If I have missed anything out please tell me, and I'll try to fill any blanks. Thanks!
Mod Edit: It might be helpful if everyone experiencing this issue could post a dxdiag along with any other relevant information (see this sticky), could help pin down similarities and hopefully a cause/solution for this issue. 🙂
Another edit: Might also be useful to know what anti malware program(s) everyone has, a few people have had success with disabling or uninstalling AVG. 🙂
EDIT: This post suggests the issue can be fixed by adding an exception to AVG, rather than disabling/uninstalling it. So anyone hesitant about disabling their AV protection or finding a new AV program can try this method instead. Instructions are in the linked post. 🙂
MORE EDIT: This problem also occurs with Avast. Adding exceptions for the game, Origin and the game folder within your users folder in Windows seems to help with this issue with either AV program. The exceptions may need to be redone if there is an update to Origin or the AV program (or the game, but there shouldn't be any further updates to the game).
@Atyar100 You can find the most recent driver for your GPU and system here. See Fred_vp's post at the end of this thread for information about doing a clean install (applies to all versions of Windows).
Also, @AWildFlygineer @mckrackin5324 @Jackal_CB if you're using AVG, try temporarily disabling it or uninstalling it, see if that helps at all (if temporarily disabling doesn't work, please try uninstalling it just to rule it out completely, it's easy enough to reinstall). If you're not using AVG, let us know, so far it seems to be a common denominator between people with this issue. 😉
Thanks for your patience, all 🙂
