This is a first for me, I bought the game on steam and for me it's delayed audio. It returns to normal after a while. But your case, completely new.
One such solution would be enabling and disabling your mic while it's https://vshare.onl/ plugged in. I've seen a video show how to do this for Bioshock 1.
