I just got this game a few nights ago cause I was tired of sharing it wih my husband on xbone and I haven't even been able to play it. I checked the specs and my computer is fine to play it, I fall right inbetween minimum and recomended. I was a little hesitent but since I should be able to play no problem on medium settings I went ahead and purchased. While I understand I can't play at high settings, I should not have to be playing at low settings and even on low settings I am just unable to play the game due to the constant stuttering and freezing. In doing some research about other players problems with the pc version I'm finding that it is ranging from minimum to recomended system specs so I'm starting to think it's really not a problem with hardware at all and the problem is on Biowares end with their software.
All my drivers are up to date, everything on my pc is up to date, I play a lot of pc games(mostly mmo's) and keep my system up to date on the gaming end always. I used the 60fps fix and it helped a bit but not much. The game is running at 100% cpu utilization and I know this is what is causing the issues. My gpu is staying at normal temps when playing(around 43-46c) while my cpu is running around 65-73c. I'm thinkimg about getting a new cooling fan for my system to see if that helps and repasting my cpu because it's been a while since I've done it. I usually do a hardware upgrade on my pc every few years, maybe it's time for it. I just replaced the hdd and psu a few months ago, I guess its time for a cpu(mine is 3.2ghz) and gpu upgrade to stay current. I'm not wasting $400 for one game right now though, I like DAI but it's not worth that much. Hopefully there is some news soon or I'll just get a refund and continue fighting the husband for xbone time.
