Dragon Age - no text on screen

I got the game installed and it looks and runs great only problem is I dont see ant text on screen..why?

Hi tuffins1,

sundance31us is right, this is in most cases a problem with the graphics card. Make sure that you have the latest driver version for your graphics card and Divx 9 installed.

If this is not the solution to your problem, try to re-install your game.

This thread seems rather elderly already, but in addition to the software called drivers, and the hardware, referred to as GPUs, either of which can be either substandard or corrupted, this game runs on Dx9, not Fx10 or Dx11, and tries to install Dx9 at the start, although the gamer can (mistake, usually) abort that process.
If the GPU is up to snuff, and the driver wasn't one that should never have been released, you may try installing Dx9.

If you don't see any text at all it could be:

Your video card.
The game needs to be reinstalled.

please can you give an updated detailed way on how to fix this issue i'm running windows 11 with an rtx 2080 ti graphics card i have direct x 12 but in details it says iv also got the feature of 9 but do i have to do something so it will physically use the 9 rather than 12 .. this is one of my all time favourite games and i really want to re-play it so some help will be great
