PC performing poorly - GTX 750 Ti - ideas?

I have a decent PC. Not the greatest by any measure, but I'm running graphics on low at 1366x768 and lower just to play and I still only get about 15 FPS during fights. On the opening menu screen I get a steady 14 FPS. I'm convinced something is wrong, but I can't figure it out... Any ideas on what could be wrong?

My PC:

windows 7 x64

Intel i7 930 @ 2.80 GHz

Geforce GTX 750 Ti (4GB)

6 gigs RAM

Direct3D 11

I've tried tons of different video options and tons of different resolutions.

I upgraded my nvidia drivers and tried their optimizer (it set the settings WAY higher and it ran horribly).

I messed around with a bunch of user.cfg settings, with no luck.

I disabled my other monitors because I foolishly thought my other monitors might somehow be interfering.

No matter what I get around 15-25 FPS, usually lower if I'm doing anything.

I'm playing the game but it would really be a lot more fun if I could get it to run smoother.

  • Your system is almost exactly like mine, except I have 2 more gigs of RAM.

I'm getting 20-25 of FPS. Apparently there is a patch coming soon that will fix that. You can search up the Terrrible FPS thread for some others solutions you can try though

    Oh wow.

Thank you for the link. I hate to be a "me too" but my experience sounds similar to a lot of people in that thread.

I really hope a solution comes along.

Between this and all the other problems with the PC version I can't help but feel they really decided that PC is not a priority for them now.

    This really saddens me.

I enoyed the whole series a great deal, but if they're just turning into console games I'm probably done. ☹️
