Player Profile

Does someone know how the player profiles for Dragon Age Origins are being handled? I have 2 Origin accounts one initially created via Steam, where I originally played DAO and a second one where I now have also DAO (it's working with all the DLC's enabled thankfully). If I log in with the old one I retrieve all the achievements and points. If I log in to the new one, all this is empty as expected.

But if I click on the online player profile, a page appears trying to connect to http://go.bioware.com/dragonage/playerprofile/en-us? and eventually times out. It is trying to reach the old Bioware Social server. If I go manually to the new Bioware's Keep, I am able to access my online player profile.

Wouldn't it be easy to simply have a redirection done instead of leaving us on the dark? Are the consequences of the game not being able to connect to the old site restricted to this?
