llo everone, I do hope you are well despite the frustrating issue at hand. I would just like to know if there is anyone out there who could confirm that the latest "solution" works? I have been downloading the game for about 3 days now and it has been stuck on 75% för 3 days as well, this despite me having my computer on at all times. Thanks to this issue my limited internet is now out for the rest of the month (50 gb per month) which is of course sad. I have tried pausing the download and unpaused it, this appears to work for a few minutes before it changes back to 75 %. I thought this was only an issue with my net acutally, and I was quite happy to find this thread, however, quite saddend when the solution still isn't there.
Could anyone confirm that this actually works or is this just a fluke?
Thank you, whoever had the energy to read this.

Hi all,
We have just replied individually where possible to those logs we had requested, thanks again for posting them.
Unfortunately there isn't any sort of common error that points at something specific. Instead, we have seen a mix of network errors, be it timeout or straight disconnects as well as an instance with a potentially bad node at a CDN. At least the latter should not be an issue anymore however, the client would automatically attempt to choose a different node anyway.
Our standard recommended troubleshooting process for these kinds of issues with downloads are listed below:
- Ensure that no proxy is enabled
- Restart your router/modem and do a Clean Boot
- Make sure that your UAC is enabled and set to notify
- Add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports
- When starting Origin, please make sure to run it as Administrator
- Set a different cache / installation folder for Download [Try the same partition where Origin is installed, try the default one, try another one]
- Delete the Origin cache file
- Manually uninstall Origin
- Run CCleaner
- Download the latest version of Origin and install the client

The "Solution" is just a statement of common placebo (in this case) belt and braces checks to catch some client side installation (and possibly system corruption) issues.
I do not work for EA or have any affiliation with them (other than being a customer) but I am a software engineer and have at least some experience in networked software. The following is just speculation and an educated guess on my part...
If I were to guess, I would reckon that there are issues in the Origin client with downloading from servers under heavy load situations. The regressing in progress is possibly down to some communication error resulting in the client believing it needs to throw away perhaps more than it really has to. I would not even venture as to proposing a solution for the issue though as this is almost certainly a coding/server configuration problem.

This has gone beyond rediculous. I have been sitting at 99% complete for 14 HOURS. I have tried every solution given. I have moved my PC to another house, on a different network and isp, and I've used my phones tether to try to finsih the last 0.09GB of download. None of these solutions have worked. I am going to ask for my money back. All of you should do so as well. We payed for a good which has not been provided to us.

@Roger_Griffiths: Agreed. I figured as much when I noticed that people having issues installing the game from a physical disc, too. The issues are incredibly similar. Even as a complete and utter amateur, this just reeks of careless data handling on their end. I'd be much less frustrated if someone were to come forth and admit to having messed up, but instead it's just damage control again, which - to me, as a customer - is incredibly insulting.
