Preload Download Progress Keeps Regressing

Ok so, I'm no expert, and I also don't know if anyone knows about this, but I did some reasearch on these cas_stream files and I found out that this is a file created by Origin to mark where the download had left off when it's paused. So what I've been doing is making a little backup in a separated folder, and I'm copying the .cas files to there as they increase in size. I don't know if it will work, but maybe next time it regresses I can recover the progress.
But again, I have no clue if doing this will actually work...
I've been doing the exact same thing today, though it hasn't solved the problem. I'm up to 15 saved "cas" files, but they always delete / disappead in the Data folder once they hit 1GB or shortly thereafter. I'm able to download new "cas" files and save the progress on old ones, but only if I pause the download and copy them before they reach the 1 GB level.
