Pretty frustrating that this is still going on...

Did all of those that have spoken to tech support mention this thread?
This should be a well known issue by now and the support team as a whole by rights should be aware that it is a problem with their system and/or software not the end user's machine. Given this, there is nothing any support personnel can do about it except fix the problem at their end and distribute a client update if necessary.

SOLUTION
Had a chat with support. This guy, Ashok, told me to follow these steps. Worked fine and finished the download completely. At last!. It's probably not a universal solution but maybe can help some of you guys.
Ashok:
Please make a note of these steps :
Ensure Origin is fully closed by clicking the Origin Menu and selecting Exit.
Delete the following folders:
Origin folder - Found in C:\ProgramData\
Origin folder - Found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\
Origin folder - Found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Ashok:
These folders are hidden by default, and the player will need to un-hide to be able to locate them.
Here is a link to unhide files: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ie/windows/show-hidden-files#show-hidden-files=windows-7

@mathconart: Tried that, now I have problems with my previously working Titanfall installation!
@EA: This is a CRITICAL issue with the Origin client that does not just affect DA:I and should be treated with a suitable level of urgency and customer visibility.
