@d4rthur I'm pretty sure Origin was hacked or hit with a ddos recently, which is what probably caused the problem. I was given the same solution you were and it didn't work for me. You might have just gotten lucky and were able to download it (as some people have been reporting to be able to do), or your problem is different from the one I am suffering. Either way, it doesn't seem to be a universal fix. Hope you get everything worked out and your download does go through, though.

ditto 🙂 ... not sure about the DDOS/Hacked bit but at the end of the day it is irrelevant, the problem is EAs and I hold them responsible for the issues we are having now. IF it is down to a server hack, they should have sufficient protected (i.e. off-line) backups to recover from it. As for DDOS, the software should be robust enough to cope with the resulting communication errors. Ultimately, EA are at fault and we should not try to make excuses for them,

Hi Guys,
Just a quick heads up, tried shutting down the Steam client while downloading from Origin and got to 80+% with the TitanFall DLC but then it regressed back to ~20% (was previously paused at ~40%). Suffice to say, the root cause would appear to not be a conflict between Origin and Steam.
@EA: This is getting beyond a joke - this issue has persisted for over 7 days now and while the direct personal contact by EA personnel (~incident day 5) is a nice touch there needs to be some kind of official public announcement with an indication of expected time to resolution over this issue IMO.

I have hoped they would fix it by now but no luck. This problem never happened to me before when I was downloading other DA games but they were not this big so may be I simply didn't notice. My fix is which is not a fix really copy the last progressed cas files from data folder as a back up and if I notice download regressed again I shut down origin and guess what one of the finished cas files (when they hit 1gb) is deleted gone. So I replaced it with my back up file. This is so frustrating I have to keep watching the progress and now after 3 days it is finally reached %55 ... I preordered the game one day before Friday at I am still trying to download. Good luck to everyone still trying to download like me. My internet is not really fast so I won't probably finish downloading at least two days more.

I had the same problem you guys were having for 2 days. It never dowloaded more than 3 GB before restarting: Here is how I fixed it last night. Rebooted into Windows with safe mode and networking turned on. Openend Origin and starting downloading. It still restarted a couple times but it only went down 5-10 percent. So I would let it download about 2GB then quickly pause and restart. Its a tedious process but it eventually downloaded fully and everything is working now, game runs good. I'm lucky I have pretty fast internet because it only took like an hour 10 to dwld.
