I'm an honest tax paying worker with no criminal records, I work everyday to get my money and then I spend it on an EA game, turns out my money is already transferred to their pockets, however, the game download will keep regressing so I can't use a product which I've paid for, I feel scammed, as if that's not enough, I can't change the language to english no matter what, I'm afraid the game itself will be installed in a different language than english which will suck and I won't be able to do anything about it besides getting a refund and then buying the game on steam or some other service.
The problem is, not me nor any of the few people having this issue will be missed, they make too much money, they have too many customers, it feels like we are mere numbers in a statistic graphic to them, expendable customers, acceptable losses, so chances are they won't be addressing this issue.
I am keeping an ear to the internet for a fix to this, if I turn up any solution or elightening information about the issue I'll share it here.
So far I tried uninstalling Origin, making sure all it's files and folders are deleted (even the invisible ones in program data), also making sure all it's records are wiped from the registry, flushing dns, rebooting the computer and modem/router, deactivating firewalls and antivirus and then downloading the latest version and installing it with administrator rights, then giving all exes administrator privileges and running the software with administrator privileges as well, it didn't work.
Edit: I managed to get live (instant message) support from Origin, the support guy tried adding a new copy of the product to my account and ensured me the download would work without regressing this time, I thanked him and started the new download, but as I expected it did not work, the download keeps regressing, much as I am glad for his effort to help me, I'm sad that he failed to do so, for I remain unable to use the product I've already paid for. Frustrating.
Edit 2: After a long time and several download regressions, it finally finished and installed ok, and in english, so, a guy in Origin's chat support (instant message support) can actually fix this, his nick is "Puneet" there, so guys, contact Origin's instant message support and hope it sets you up with a human like Puneet who will know how to fix this problem we're all having, cheers.
BTW guys, I have not chased my refund yet and TBH I do not expect to get anywhere with it without going through lots of hassle I really do not have time to mess around with... which is more the pity as I do feel EA really need to feel the consequences of their apparent lack of contrition (from my perspective).
I am STILL trying to download DA:I and TF: IMC Rising to little or no avail and am confident that the problem is a fundamental flaw in the Origin service somewhere. This is not the first occurance of download reliability issues and it has been a persisting issue with the system for well over a year based on my research (which I listed in a post/thread that was apparently deleted by EA/Origin moderators/staff for some reason).
The furthest I have got thus far is ~79% which indicates it may eventually get there after wasting excessive amounts of GB (if not TB) of bandwidth due to the underlying flaws in the system.
I am supremely disgusted with EA over this and if I ever find the time to pursue the matter properly EA will feel the pain if I have anything to do with it. For now, I am reluctantly persisting with trying to get this POS of a system to deliver the software I have paid good money for.
BTW I am also supremely disgusted with their on-line/RT tech support as they have been about as much use as a chocolate tea cup in high summer at noon in a hot desert.

Download regression issue is STILL happening although it seems to be fairing slightly better more recently (no -ve progress observed). For the past month or so I have been trying to download the last 15-20% and have hit 98% at the best point so far.
Is EA EVER going to address the download problems with their Origin service?
Even the most easy going person would probably find the current slow progress with the resolution of the underlying problems with the Origin service unacceptable. I have been trying to download this game since it was available for pre-load and still have not got it.:catmad:

ABFT... I seem to have FINALLY after several months and GBs (probably TBs) of wasted bandwidth downloaded this game... lets hope it was worth it.
