Preload issue - download was ok but install is failing

I got a solution from the EA helpdesk!
Turns out, there are three versions of VC++ redistributable in the install folders in the origin game program files for Inquisition. I selected the install for each one, and for VC 2008 sp1 the file needed repaired, and then the same happened for vc2013. With the files repaired manually, the install worked flawlessly.
The helpdesk gets big kudos on this one!

I had the same issue but when I tried to repair vcredisx64 in the folder vc2008sp1 I get an error. I've tried replacing it and repairing it and redownloading, and nothing works. This is mind numbing, right now at this point I just want a refund cause everything I've tried has failed.
