Logged into Origin to run DAI and it's greyed out, mind I'm 95 hours in. It will not update and the "repair" option is gone, it's there for every other game, but not Dragon Age Inquisition. Not sure what to do, clicking "update" does literally nothing and I can't "repair" the game because that option is completely missing. Reloading Origin games does nothing, logging out and back in does nothing. Everything worked fine last night and now this new Patch 5 has screwed something up. Game has been running like a champ until today.

    Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H

    16gig G-Skill Ripjaw

I doubt it's any of my hardware as everything is up to date on drivers. Out of ideas here =/

@cronoevolution it seems like the files that control the status of your game in Origin might be corrupted. To clear these cache files try this:

Make sure your Origin client is completely closed.

      • Do this by clicking Origin in the menu bar then selecting Exit.
    1. Head to your C: drive by clicking the Start or Window button on your desktop and selecting My Computer.
    2. Find and delete the "Origin"folders found in each of the following:
      • These folders are hidden by default, so you'll need to un-hide them by Showing Hidden Files to be able to delete them.
      • Open each folder by finding then double-clicking it.
        • C:\ProgramData\
          • On Windows XP, the ProgramData folder is located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application data\Electronic Arts\.
        • C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\
        • C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\
    3. Empty your Recycle Bin and you're done.

This can help on many downloading problems in general. Also, make sure to run Origin as administrator.

I am currently in the process of doing this now. It is letting me repair the files so I'm hoping it will fix the issue. Thanks for your prompt response and advice. I had already set Origin to run as administrator. I really hope this works because losing 95 hours of game time would be a massive disappointment. Thanks again.

Edit: This did work, however, it took several repairs and for several hours the game would update, say it was ready to play, then tell me I had to update again. I restarted Origin and it was still stuck in an update loop. I gave up for the night then the next morning I restarted my PC, again, and repaired one more time and it finally worked with all saves intact. Not sure why this happened but I am grateful that this did work, many thanks again for your prompt response and saving what remaining sanity I still have. 😕mileyhappy:
