Problem installing hi-res texture pack for Dragon Age 2 on Origin

I have Dragon Age 2 on Origin. The texture pack installer (downloaded from Bioware's Dragon Age 2 patches site) says I don't have the game installed. Played the game for a couple hours with no other ...

I've got the same problem, I'm going to try to extract the files and manually stick them in to see if I get get this working.

It worked!! Extract the files from the installer that you download find the package file. Go to the origins, thenDragon age II file find the package file there. Copy the extracted one and paste it in to add the high res texture files. Launch game then go to options and check the high resolution texture box. Done

    im having the same problem as you described. downloaded and ran the game from origin, got the texture pack (but the origin link would not work so got it from bioware), and cant run the .exe as it says the game is not installed!?! how did you extract the files required from the .exe? i cant work out how to do it..... cant see any open file location link there. can you explain plzz?
