problems with 1.04 patch unable to play after patching to it

I just re-installed my copy of DA2 inorder to do a play through to have  saved game for the DA:I game when it is released and I am unable to play the game. When I click on the play button in the ...

    Okay I am going to recommend several options of advice.

    1) Update your video driver may be the cause.

    2) The video default setting in DA2 may be causing this, you go in to the DA2 Config and adjust the video settings it will use upon launch. If you go in to Progra Files (x86) > Dragon Age 2 > bin_ship you will find a file called DragonAge2Config.  Launch the application and go to the Video tab on the left.  Make sure the settings vit what you monitor can handle.   Make sure you have DirectX11 installed. 

    3) If you have the The Exiled Prince DLC, I would advise you NOT to use Patch 1.04 as it is not compatible with the DLC and will lock up your screen.  You can use patch 1.03 and find that in File Planet. 

    Personally I would no longer use Patch 1.04 until EA fixes this known bug with another fix/update.  As long as they are still selling this software with this known bug they must be obligated to correct the problem.
