Qunari armor not appearing on character

I'm playing a male Qunari warrior and cannot get any armor to appear visually on the character. I can equip armor and the stats change... But visually it never changes. I'm always wearing the default armor received after the pride demon tutorial. If I give the same armor to Cassandra, it show up fine on her. I've tried various armor and restarted a new character with same effect. (Always Qunari with the issue. My human warrior worked fine.) Is there a fix for this in the works? Playing without any armor customization is very frustrating ☹️
I'm on ps4, and I've seen the issue mentioned elsewhere so hopefully it's got some awareness.
