Qunari Female Mage Tattoo Bug

I'm on my second female qunari build and experiencing the same issue. My qunari's face will randomly adopt a tattoo design throughout the game. It appears early on in the playthrough (in my case, the tattoo with two white lines) and then seems to randomly change as I progress. I never set a tattoo in the character customization screen. It changed to a horrid red paint that covers most of my qunari's face. Now it's an even worse mix match of what looks like two different tattoos.

I just rolled a female human and haven't had any issue. Yet.

Anyone else having trouble with this?

    exact same issue on my male Qunari.

    The tattoos are the special Qunari helmets called Vitaar. At least on 360 they are all pretty hideous. They are very low res and bitmap looking. The current one on my make Qunari Mage makes him look like a green painted up geisha with cat eyes and everything....

    Hmmm... then if that's the case it's showing up despite my having deactivated the "show helmets" option.

    Yeah I have seen it come and go whether the his helmet option is turned on or off. Its very indecisive! I just wish they would have let them wear regular helmet options. I mean come on they can't make horn holes in those mage cowls. Or make custom crafted helmets with holes.

    you'd think they'd have Qunari able to wear helms considering if you put one on Sera her ears poke thru so why not allow the horns to as well. I took some pics of Sera yesterday when I realized this happened. Here's the best one of the bunch. You gotta look carefully but you can see her ear is poking "thru" the helmet 😛
