Since you don't list "every single solution" you 've tried, how can anyone tell if the one they might offer you would work?

That said:

a)  You will absolutely lose all your gear when you are captured in the mine.  That's part of the story.  The issue is whether or not you can recover your equipment by the time you leave.

b)  This solution worked for me in that all my items that were not found on the creatures I encountered in the mine were in the chest by the merchant Armaas at the exit: http://dragonage.nexusmods.com/mods/1762
