The fact that Bioware's own official forum has a "BW Technical Support" subfora heading {scroll down to the bottom} that simply auto-redirects to HERE (Answer HQ) is clear and unambiguous proof of their understaffed and underfunded commitment to adequate internal QA and in-house post release support, and their customers have every right to express their frustration about being largely forced to fend for themselves and/or rely on volunteer-driven mutual support sites like this one.
If things are to ever improve, they need to hear this more, not less, and the websites that are showering them with GOTY accolades need to let them hear it too, and not be so quick on the trigger with awarding accolades to companies that shirk their responsibilities to their customers. I mean come on, if this was the automotive world, you shouldnt give top honors to a car with black dot reliability and exploding batteries, no matter how good it looks it looks driving down the street.
Personally, I'd love to see stuff like peaceful shame-on-you flashmobs appearing periodically outside BW HQ, or outside major gaming conventions, in order to help stir some visibility and pressure to improve things.
Write those letters, people ... let them hear it.
