Re: Crashing on Startup

I'm having a similar problem.

I click on either the desktop icon for the game or I click play from the origin window. The game pops up as a window then goes to a full black screen, the cursor pops up momentarily, then CTD without any error or message. Sometimes origin crashes as well, without any error message.

I bought the game when it first came out and it worked without any real problem on the lowest settings. I stopped playing for a few months and come back to it only to have it lagging in single player and it took almost ten minutes just to start up the game and reach the main menu.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and now I can't even get it to open.

I've tried running it with origin disabled/enabled. I've tried running it with fps capped/uncapped. I've tried every degree of each available setting. Nothing works.
