I've just recently re-installed this because I never finished the game, gone through all the steps, installing all the re-distributables, doing system scan checks, and repairs, thought the Nvidia PhysX thing would make it work and all that says when I try to install it is that "NVIDIA installer cannot continue, a newer or same version is present" would uninstalling current Nvidia driver installing the PhysX and then reinstalling the Current graphics driver work you reckon?
Anything anyone else can suggest, I really wanna play this again whilst I wait for Baldur Gate 3?

My PhysX are up to date and still this game gives me this error. EA FIX YOUR CRAP!
I had the same problem but I fixed it by deleting all the PhysX program files, downloading This file then running the game, close the game then install this file.
Control panel- uninstall program- PhysX Uninstall it, then redownload the link. I had the same issue as you. "A newer or the same version is already installed." It didn't work until I uninstalled the PhysX I already had and then downloaded the version I needed. Works perfectly fine now.

I think I tried like 5 times uninstalling and reinstalling the game then downloaded this link for the PhysX but it was still giving me the error. It wasn't until after I uninstall and reinstall PhysX (through the control panel of course) that it started working for me and this was the error I've been getting for so long and the reason I stopped playing so thanks for this suggestion and fix. Was really getting on my nerves.
You got it to work? I tried reinstslling physx but it still would not run ,i cant find the physx folder in the dragon age program folder it just isnt there .
Might have to try reinstallkng it via controlpanel
