Hey guys,
if you still get the issue with the latest AMD drivers, could you try launching the game in windowed mode:
C:\Users\<username>\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save\ProfileOptions_profile (Please note that you need to edit the file in WordPad, not Notepad)
Set the following variables:
Personaly, i never was able to launch the game as far as getting the menu, so there is not such a folder for me ☹️

Same here... you get the nice symbol in the bottom right flashing (very erratically i might add) for 5-10 seconds, then it freezes and the dreaded 'boing' sounds announces the error pop-up.
That's exactly what i have ^^
Happy to see i'm not alone, but sad to have this error ☹️

I know you'all are swamped over there, just wanted to keep you appraised. I followed the instructions in your post, as well as many suggestions throughout this thread. After implementing your changes.... (well its a good news bad news thing) I no longer get the infamous "Directx Function" error and I can play for approximately 4-7 minutes at a time. However, I it now crashes to a white screen and I get a message to the effect "The display driver has stopped functioning, but has been recovered...." The only thing I am able to do at this point is kill it using task manager. Not sure what to do at this point, getting a little frustrated. thank you for your time.
