Same issue. Got so fed up with the crashing that I gave up playing it til a new update comes out. Updated and started new character and I still crash. Not sure if it helps but there are places that I always crash to desktop. It's in the Hinterlands next to the rift just north of the shard on West Road. Collect the shard, move up to kill the enemies and close the rift and it crashes when I get close to the Rift.
I could play around this and the few other places I've found to CTD but I don't see how games should be released in a state where you need to play around huge game flaws.
An added question to EA. Where do you find your game testers and what made you think you should release a game to the public when it has less stability then most alphas?
