Re: Dragon Age Inquisition suddenly crashes at random times (PC)

**bleep** Bioware I was 40 minutes into fighting a dragon and the game just closes for no **bleep** reason and the worst part is the dragon was almost dead! They need to **bleep** patch this or at least make the game more stable. It shouldn't be a problem this far into the games lifecycle. Ps. I have everything up to date.

    I had this issue,

It appears if you have any Razr Keyboard or mouse or headset software running, the DA activation exe wont run/complete running.

If you stop any running Razer processes, DA launches fine, just  you cant use your keyboard or mouse macros. (not sure if any other third party apps from other peripheral makers will c)ause problems, but might be worth disabling them all if your having problems.)

in the end i got a DA crack and cracked my copy, now it launches fine and i can use the razer software, so stupid case again of ligit owners have massive , unanswered problems, caused by DRM and people torrenting the game and stealing it playing fine.

(Not the first EA product i have had to do this with, and i doubt it will be the last, but i will at least crack a copy i have paid for, not steal a copy outright

I get random exits to desktop as well.  I hesitate to call it a crash because there is no error message, the program simply isn't running any longer (as others have experienced).  I have seen claims where running a browser in the background was supposedly related, so I have made sure not to run firefox, but last night it did it again during a multiplayer match.

    R9 280 (Catalyst 14.12)

    Windows 7 Professional 64bit SP1

    Origin Version 9.5.12.2862 - 364867

I am running the game in "windowed fullscreen" mode, with ambient occlusion turned to lowest level as I had read in some threads that those settings helped with stability.  I also run this game with Origin In Game disabled.  Also, I am running in Direct X mode.

In this thread, there are mentions of installing "microsoft visual c++ redistributable 2012" but there are of course many versions of that. I have 11.0.50727 and 11.0.61030 in both x64 and x86 flavors.  Not sure which ones were specifically for DAI and which were for other programs.
