Re: Dragon Age Origins on different PC's

How did you register the CD Key?  If you registered it on the BioWare website, and you log in to Origin with the same email/password that you used to register the game on the website, the game should appear in your Origin library.  If it does not, click on Origin, Redeem Code, and type in the CD Key.  It should validate it with Origin.  You should then be able to use the Origin client to download and install the game on another PC, or you could use the DVDs to install the game, then activate it using the Origin client.  Just be sure it's patched to at least version 1.04 before you try to validate it as the patch fixes the location in the registry where the activation key is stored.  You can download just the patches from the website.  Easiest way to find them is to do a search for Dragon Age Origins latest patch and follow the links.

I did exactly this with both a boxed (DVD) version of the game I bought for my daughter, and a digital download version I bought for myself through a 3rd party retailer.  Both worked without any difficulty.

The additional good news is that if you register the game as part of your Origin library then download and install it that way, you don't need the stupid disc in the drive in order to play the game.  Just running Origin will validate it to run.  Handy if you have a DVD/CD drive that's a little on the shaky side. :catwink:

Good Luck!
