Re: Dragon Age Origins UE DLC Registration Code

I bought the Mac version and its installer was supposed to activate the DLC content, but I got an "internal error".  I ran the code through Bioware's Social Site (already signed up there from the PC original Origins game when I played it back in 2009/2010) and it added all the goodies to my account (all the ones I bought for the PC version way back then were already available to me on the Mac version when it started).  So I can't say for sure about the DLC content through origin, whether the game will pick it up or not, but I can say that the activation code worked in Origin AFTER registration was already done on Bioware's Social Site and the game was already working here.  But that brought up an icon that said Dragon Age Ultimate Edition is ONLY for Windows on Origin (odd they don't have it on there for Mac seeing the Mac Ultimate version exists and works just fine).  The DLC content was already redeemed for Dragon Age II though on Bioware's site (I just assumed the install activation already too care of the final game activation; I was wrong) and it showed up from the Bioware's site so I'm GUESSING that it will show up when you start the game (one way to find out, start it and see if the downloadable content is there or not; you can access it from the main menu when the game starts).

Basically, it appears that Origin came into being long after Bioware's original site and added Cloud support, etc., but they appear to talk to each other.  So, in summary, I did NOT have to activate DLC for either game from the installer and I saw NO way to activate it from the game itself here.  Both Origin and Bioware's Social site had Promo activiation codes under "Profile" once logged on and either will take the codes.  I registered BOTH games on the Bioware site AND Origin (worked on both).  It would only take the DLC code on one or the other.
