Can you do that on Steam? Not that I ever tried because those programs are quite essential for the games to run correctly. That's why when they are corrupted or missing the games don't run.

Of course you can do it on Steam. Simply delete them before you run the game. And I know what they are for. I install them, when I need them, not when someone else decides that I need them and installs them without even asking me. So there is no way to do it the same way in Origin?
