Re: Missing T3 schematics

I was wondering if it was a bug or whether these schematics were moved? No one seems to know for sure that they are bugged. I have read mixed reports ranging from they are ultra rare to being released at some point in a DLC (seems a bit unlikely now.) It would be nice to know for sure if there is no way or if they are obtainable, a hint as to where. Either way I think EA missed a trick on this - from the number of comments I have seen elsewhere - 'the unobtainable t3 masterwork collection dlc' might have made a few quid. That and hair styles.

PC users have also shared saves with these schematics obtained before patches were made - not sure if that's an option for console users.

Collected post patches, both of them so, they are just very rare, took me six games to get them but, I have them now. Both from the cradle, seems RNG as to if a particular game has them or not and not seems the common roll. I got the MW Tevinter last night, the Split on game 3 of my efforts to get them. MWT on Qunari Male mage. SLS on Elf Female sword and board warrior. You can bet they went straight to THE NUG, not loosing those after all the trouble getting them.

Farming does no good, seems either they are there for that game or they aren't and that's that, as if it's decided when you start a new game. Yeah lots of playing the same stuff over and over to get there each time but, the NUG helps, you can gear up and ge there faster in subsequent games.

  • So... Not a bug.  Just extremely difficult to obtain.

Since I'm on my 12th playthrough, I haven't had a problem with any "Collections" in a long time.

(Except the damn mosaic pieces.  I don't even bother worrying about them any more, just not gonna happen.)

Mosaics don't give me any trouble except the ones in Astrium caves, I hate doing Astrium to get them. Well that one with the wrong place holder for it so it doesn't get on the wall even if you have it, but there is a mod to fix that. (have to have mod in BEFORE you pick up that piece.)

  • See?  Just goes to show that you can't please everyone.  I love the Astrariums!  🤓

But no matter how carefully (I think) I've searched, I've never completed more than two mosaics in any one playthrough, and I haven't the least idea which ones they were.

@ThandalNLyman Try this, do them once and they are pretty easy to remember after that. This guide shows them on the wall so, it's easy to find which pieces you are missing and, see where to go get them. Gotta admit it's pretty cool to end the game with all of them finished. 🙂

With all the patches, the mosaics are all easily obtainable now (no more doing horse gymnastics to get the one randomly above a cave in the Hinterlands, and the one in the wolf cave is now where it should be), if a bit time consuming. I made a list as I went of where I found them, then discovered I pretty much remembered where they all were without the list, though it has been helpful in trying to explain to other people where they are. 😛 Each mosaic is either located in one map, or in a certain group of maps (like the Dales), except one (which is still only spread out over a few maps). Most also require you to do several other sidequests to get all the bits (astariums, the tombs in Hissing Wastes, killing dragons, etc).

I like the Astariums too, especially in JoH, those seemed a bit more difficult (or maybe it's just because I've only done them a few times compared to the others). Bit sad they didn't put new ones in the other DLCs. 😛

The only collection I've never completed in any playthrough is the bottles one. Probably get to around the same number found in every playthrough (all 14 or so of them... yeah, I played this game way too much), so I don't know which ones I keep missing. 😛

Thanks for that, I've probably wasted half a play through on farming the cradle. Never mind.

I know it's been two years since the last post but I have decided to play DAI again and I was wondering if anyone can confirm that those schematics are unobtainable on the console version and you have to use a cheat engine on PC to get them? I know DarkAmaranth1966 had screen grabs of them but was that console or PC version and someone on the internet has said it was a cheat engine used?

Can anyone confirm or deny this? EA needs to make sure this DOESN'T happen for the next Dragon Age game in development!
