I have found that turning off cloud saves on ORIGIN and installing Game Saves Manager and attaching it to Google Drive (or whatever cloud service you like to use) with the "sync & link" option is the best way to go with all game saves. Including Steam, Battlenet, Uplay, Origin, GOG, ect. I only turn off the cloud saves on Origin because their cloud likes to headbutt against Game Saves Manager because their cloud is soooo bad. It's a relatively painless process and it will automatically backup any game saves you have on any platform... even the ones that Steam doesn't have on Steam Cloud... it's pretty awesome because it saves all game saves to wherever you want on your computer and also saves a copy of everything onto Google Drive (or whatever cloud service it is you like to use) in case you have an HDD failure.

How is this helpful if it's not a solution to saves not saved with this program you're talking about?!
- @The_Argentinean this just happened to me today, and the save files aren't in my recycle bin. how the hell is this possible?!?! it erased ALL MY RECENT CHARACTERS. what. the. f*ck.
