Re: [PC] Dragon Age will not recognize and input from my controller

Try unplugging the controller from your computer then launching the game. See if it says "click to start" instead of "Press Start"
If it does, you're in luck. Load a save on PC controls and change one option in the options menu. (something like turn friendly fire on) This will ensure that it rebuilds your profile options and refreshes them. then exit the game.
Plug your controller back in, relaunch the game, then go to options and set it back to being controller input.

Glad this was simply resolved. Im not so lucky and although my controller is recognized in my other games, Dragon Age: Inquisition refuses to recognize it. Even after a fifth patch.

I found a weird way of making it work but not sure how. I just went into control panel and found the gamepad from devices and opened gamepad settings by right clicking on it. Then clicked on properties from there which opened a tab  that allows me to see how the buttons on the controller work. I just played around a little bit a when I launched the game next time it was working.

Now I have to admit this was completely by chance and I have no idea why it worked for my controller which is a logitech f310. Ffirst couple of result I could find with a google search brought no result so I sort of figured it out by messing around. Which is weird because on most games you just pretty much plug and play I'm not sure why this happens.
