Re: "Save failed due to insufficient space..." [DA:I PC version]

Never mind, I was actually able to fix this on my own.  My problem was extremely unique and may not apply to any of you.

When I staged my gaming system it had originally set my secondary drive to E.  I wanted it set to D.  So when I  set my secondary drive to D within Management Console my origin redirected files were still set to E... Technically.

Since E was in fact my DVD drive now, it would give the 'Save failed due to insufficient space'

So here's what I did just to make sure my redirected folders were actually on D where they were supposed to be and not E.

I went into my PC registry:

  1. Click Start
  2. Type: regedt32
  3. Click the program regedt32.exe to run the Registry Editor
  4. In the left pane, navigate to:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

You should see the folder paths for Documents, Music, Pictures.. etc.

Mine were still set to the E drive.  I just needed to modify them to point to D instead.

Once I did that everything was fine.

My issue was truly a stupid user error, and no real fault of EA.  However, if any of you staged a system and changed the secondary drive location AFTER the PC was done, this problem could relate to you as well.  Though most likely not.

I am not the most tech savvy person but am trying to figure this out without bothering the hubs. I followed your directions but once I got to the folder, I wasn't sure what I should be looking at. I did notice that of the "paths" you mentioned, mine were present EXCEPT for Documents. Does that matter? This is what it all looked like.

Having never been in this before, I'm not sure what its normal appearance should be.

Thank you very much, this finally fixed this for me. I lost a hard drive recently where I used to have my libraries pointed to and could not find where it was still trying to save these to.  I love you!

Also, it fixed the same issue I was having with Rocket League not saving my graphics settings and garage changes.
