Re: Trial ended after less than two hours of play

Perhaps the game was just paused while the download ran? Unless it's shut down completely, the time will still tick. 

I'm not sure if MS will/can reset the trial timer, but it might be worth checking with them? On the EA end unfortunately there's not much we can do with EA Access, just the individual games.
