Repeating banter is getting annoying

You can't be serious? There are a ton of people who have no music and/or banter and would give much for their damn companions to open their mouths for once and you complain about getting banter... Just change your party if you dont like it, there cant be an unlimited amount of it in any game...

Having only 2 banters that repeat over and over again isn't much better.

That is odd, banter should be once and done. What system are you on?

Same here but mine is Varric and Dorian. Changing out the party doesn't help nor does switching areas. They still have the same "odds on the inquisitor" conversation like every ten to twenty minutes.

Same bug, I'm on PC and every time I start a party the banters repeat from previous party.

This bug happened after I rerolled.

I am on the xbox one, and have the same problem. Its one thing if you start the banter, but they repeat their conversation alot. I wish there was a button you could press that would allow your character the ability to talk on  their own or just be quite and play.

I have the same issue with the same party OP.  I have switche party members only to have the banter not work and when I go back to Solas, Varric an Blackwall I keep hearing about Varric fighting Corphy before.  This has been happening for ages and Ive just tune it out, best guess 15 hours I hear this particular banter every 10-15 minutes or so.  Amazing what you can tune out after a while, but accoring to the devs this issue with the  banter is cause by the players.....riiiight.
