Which map?? Hinterlands?? Anyway, sounds like a bug/broken rift. Good news is you don't HAVE to close rifts to advance the main quest most times, very few exceptions. Option is to reload a previous save, and try a repair game, or ignore and move on and hope none of the others are effected.
