Save files/characters not showing up in game

My main character no longer appears as an option in the "select character" screen. All of his save files likewise do not show up. However, his character file and saves are still in the same folder in my documents under Bioware as my other characters... the game simply isn't recognizing them. I have already played through Origins with him and was in the middle of Awakening when this happened, though I had switched back to explore some of the Origins DLC. 

I have DA: Origins Ultimate Edition and am using Windows 7. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the game and no change. Any ideas?
