Solas Companion Quest Glitch (Game Crash) *Important*

I am currently trying to complete a companion quest for Solas by saving his friend, the spirit. Everytime I start attacking the barriers binding the spirit, the game crashes. I might be able to break four tops and then the game crashes. I heard of a way of fixing it by starting towards the north and working your way down; making sure that Solas comments on the two dead bodies... however, that didn't work for me and the game crashed. Please fix this.
