Status of fix(es) for "Repentance" (Act II) and "Faith" (Act III) lock-up?

Any word on this issue from the BioWare Dev team?

Having tried to help many people with many DA2 game-play glitches, this is one I've never been able to resolve.

While the freeze when meeting Lady Harimann in Act II can be overcome by hitting [ Esc ], that workaround skips over an important cutscene convo. And so far, I haven't found any way to keep the game from locking-up after the Act III battle with the three Mages.

(NOTE: I experience the first problem on my own rig, and have heard from lots of others about the second.)

(Note 2: It just occurred to me that this is really a Player-to-Player environment. Questions directed to EA/BioWare may not be appropriate.)

While Answer HQ is primarily a Player-to-Player environment, the EA Community Team is also here to help you and to gather your feedback.

We forwarded your bug report to the development team, but an answer from a developer is more likely to happen in the BioWare Tech Support boards.

Ursula, your answer confuses me. WHy, if we are asking a question in the new Ask HQ, would we find answer in Bioware? Harryhackem

Usually you don't, Harryhackem. But thandalnlyman wanted an answer from the BioWare developers. They can be found in the BioWare forums more often.

I'd also like the dev. team to react on this one, it seems this bug (almost) never happened before patch 1.4, but now everyone who *PAID* for the DLC has it freezing, preventing from enjoying it at all.
I don't accept that something gets broken by a patch supposed to remove bugs, then nothing at all is done to make it work again.
If no effort is coming from anyone on Bioware or EA side, then I want a refund, there's no way I'll accept this trend of making patches that cause more trouble than the ones they solve. Players aren't beta-testers!
If making games more and more heavy on the tech side is done at the cost of actual content and *ENJOYMENT*, but still more and more expensive, then I can't help feeling I'm the one who's swindled.
Oh my, how amusing: this topic is marked as "solved", but the solution link just brings back here, go figure...
Also, I'd like to point out that the forum mentionned above is already full of topics about that exact same problem, with no answer at all from the developers, and many people saying to post here. This can last quite some time...

Have been posting my troubles with the Exiled Prince, during Act 3 "Faith". Some have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, we've all tried Esc. I've tried loading from different saves, ran with different companions, tried alt-tabbing out and back in a few times, took off all equipment that came from other DLC....no change. The "solution" link you have on the first post needs to be removed. That way, should we ever find/get a true solution, we will know it actually works. As asked, please remove the "solution" link.
Should also be noted, I only recently purchased this DLC (had all the original game and DLC on the xbox; recently got everything for the PC). Have never been able to complete it.
