ya ive tried a few different things. i got the DLC to work and i am able to load into main menu now! but evrytime i start a new playthrough or continue an old one there is an infinite loading screen.
i have tried the SET affinity to CPU 0 and 1 other, as well as trying it on compatibility mode. but nothing is working for me sadly?

You said you tried a bunch of different things can you tell us what you tried and what ultimately worked ?
Do you have any mods installed ?
If I remember correctly there is a memory leak problem that does give infinite loading screen. I'd try to verify the files (you never know if you tried a few things you might need to make sure everything is okay). You might need to reinstall the dlcs if you had to manually install them afterward
The other solution is using the 4gb patch. There's apparently a specific mod/file on nexus mod for steam users Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.
