[Steam] Unsupported 16 bit application

So I was about to buy DAI(as well as DA1 and DA2) from steam a few days ago since I want to start the trilogy again. To my surprise I saw DAI was free on epic games store so naturally I downloaded it, however when I launched it it keeps popping out the "unsupported 16 bit error" message. I tried all the troubleshooting including, compatibility modes, updating drivers, reinstalling directx and vc and running as administrator. If anyone has a fix for this I would appreciate it. I sure am glad I did not buy this game since I cant play it, and if I cant get it fixed I wont bother buying DA1 and DA2 either since it may experience the same issues. Even if it doesnt, my trilogy would still be incomplete, which makes it pointless.
