Storm Coast Dragon issue?

So, here we go.

I've done the War table mission that grants access to the boat that takes you to dragon island and I've gone everywhere you can possibly go on that island (even some places you technically can't go, because climbing and fade-stepping is fun) and the high dragon isn't anywhere. I've killed every other dragon and have nearly reached level 24 with my character, so killing the darn thing isn't really that much of an issue, I just want to kill it and be done with it. I've tried re-loading, traveling from every other area TO the Storm Coast and strictly traveled there from the war table as well.

There's no inclination the dragon is even there, no lovely stomping noises or hisses as if its stuck behind an invisible wall or anything, but it does sound like a dragon might be sleeping in that Dwarven cave, which I didn't think Vinsomer did. Not that I've seen, anyway. I'm nearly 120 hours in and all I wanna do is kill the stupid thing befre going with Morrigan as this point. Gr!

There is an incline you have to follow up the mountain on the Dragon Island, did you find a path taking you to a circular area at the mountain/hill top? I can get a screenshot for you if needed or a vid to show the way up.

I would be grateful fot both screen shot and video.
Both dragon and giant disappeared for me. Also I can't enter the cave that is near dwarf statue on the west coast.

You have to take a boat to Dragon Island, then climb the mountain and he's there waiting for you. Beware! That dragon is very difficult to beat. Take some electrical protection (belt) with you. You'll need it!

Where can I find this boat? I haven't seen any?
As for dragons so far I killed the ones in Hinterlands and Exalted Plains. Is the one from Storm Coast harder then them?

Yes, storm coast is rather difficult compared to those two. It's electric also so it's good to gear up on cold spells/items and armor with resistance.
My walkthrough on getting there will be up shortly to show where the boat it. Keep in mind though you have to find a key in this area to unlock the door, the save I loaded from already had that part complete.

Okay, had to reference my guide book to remember this. There is a War Table mission you have to unlock called Red Water to access this dwarven cave. "Inquisition soldiers were dispatched to investigate a dwarven port on the Storm Coast that is currently being held by red templars. The port gives the red templars a foothold in the region. The soldiers have cleared the way to storm the port."
If you want to get approval from Varric take him on this sidequest. There is an interior door that is also locked, one of the red templars you kill in this area drops that key.

I swear I had to kill a dragon twice for some reason. i think it was this one or the one on Champleign Du whatever.
