Assuming you actually have armor equipped, exit the game, open Origin and be sure you are logged in and online. Right click the game icon in Origin and choose REPAIR. Allow that to run. When it's finished try your game again and see if that fixed it.
If not, exit, run repair again, just to be sure and start a new game to see if that character is armored. if so, you may have a corrupt save and need to revert back to one before the glitch adn, play form there.

I had the same issue but mine was just unequipped somehow.
I just opened my inventory and clicked it.
