I fixed the issue by disabling the 60 FPS cinematic unlock fix. So for people who use the 60 FPS cinematic unlocker and can't get past the opening cutscene world, disable it again and you should be able to play.
I have the problem, It has repeated twice now when I create a Noble Rouge. Stuck by myself, 2nd time with some character.
I have not had the stomach to start a third. Pain in the rear.
I end up what looks like the beginning of the stairs, and really cannot go anywhere due to the mountains.
I tried the game yeasterday evening and I had the same exact problem.
Right after character creation I find myself in this weird world with green puddles, one small stair and one big stair. I can't even climb past halfway on the big stair. No one else but me and nothing to do. What's up?!
I've got this problem too.
I've tried repairing my game and that did not work. I'm trying reinstalling the game now to see if that will work.
