Stuck loading after "In your Heart Shall Burn"

I have encountered a SUPER annoying bug in the "In Your Heart Shall Burn" quest that is stopping me from progressing in the game.  After I aim the final trebuchet and go through the cutscene, the game goes to load the next area (which I understand to be Skyhold).  Except, it never loads the area, but just hangs at the black loading screen.

Can anyone help me past this?  I've uploaded my savegame file to http://www.filedropper.com/daisavetime4b535d75

If anyone could load this, progress to Skyhold, and send me the updated savegame file, that'd be great!

EDIT:  I'm on PC, running Inquisition version 1.06 (patch 5).

Update:  I was able to fix the issue by running 'Repair Game' from the Origin app.

I am having this exact same issue and I have tried a number of different things to fix it. Lowering graphics, removing mods and creating a new patch (even though some still seem to stay, I.e. Leliana/Josephine graphic changes stay), reload to earlier saves. None of these have worked, and I am stuck looking at a white screen and hearing the wind blow. Open to ANY suggestions.

    Running patch 6

Does the file I sent you get you there? If not let me know and I will take it all the way to Skyhold for you. PM me please.

I tried that and know I keep getting a message saying that the save I had cannot be loaded because "it was created using a newer version of the game. Please apply the latest patch" or something like that. Thought I had updated the game but cAnt get that message to go away.
  • This is what happens when you have mods installed in a specific save and tehn you remove them all. To your save work, you need to have at least one mod.

    Edit:
    FIXED! (patch 6)
For those being stuck with a white screen and wind sounds- Deactivate ALL mods on the mod list EXCEPT the first one (that says Official Patch). Create a merged file, as if you were installing a mod.
Start the game, load your save. Go thorugh cinematics untill you have the control of your character again.
Save, close the game and re-install all the other mods,

I was able to successfully get to Skyhold after following your instructions and uninstalling all mods except for the patch, however after installing them all again and reloading my save, none of the mods were active. I've tried re-scanning the patch and replacing the merged folder and even just restarting my PC, but every time I re-load the game none of the mods are active.

    Can you help with this?

EDIT: The problem persists, and I have also discovered that my patch now believes it is version 9 instead of 8 (as of the most recent update). Because of this, the merged mod file believes it is version 10 as a result. Is this the reason my mods are not active? And if it is, does anyone know how to fix this?
