this is a bug. When you wear leather based boots, dark colored ones, and walk through any light source that changes its color as a light effect, e.g. fire, sunset, even dusty road, the color of your boots and pants will disappear.
There is not fixe but a work around. Any white or light colored gears are not effected, luckily the best leather in the game, dragon skin, gives a white color.

well the Armor I wear I have to use Snoufer skin because its not my class. (its rogue armor and im a mage)
I also dont want white boots or pants.
I documented it in a video. You can see it flickering back to the normal color, it hardly looks natural.

I sure hope they don't ignore this, i hate looking like i was just in a clay mud fight all the time (Google clay mud fight and you will see what i mean LOL)

Not only boots change color, but also armor like seen in last video.This is rediculous, just loaded my game, ran 2 feet and then my boots turned tan instantly... I can't even be around the stables in Skyhold without tan boots.
I know being tan is a good thing, but in this case it is just ruining everything =P
