Why read subtitles at the bottom? Because the bottom is always dark objects, the text easier to read. Top why? Text merges with the clouds, sun, light, and can not be read properly. Subtitles bottom and normal text is a standard for television, film and games.
TV is not a problem, but a problem in understanding.
