Transfer Dragon Age Origins from Origin to Steam
As the title says, is there a way to transfer my DAO from Origin to Steam?
No, not the save file, I know how that works, but the entire game itself from my Origin account to my Steam account.
Why do that?
Well, been trying to play the game for a week now, and Origin's DAO is broken, the installation is all messed up, there are many files missing, the Origin states that I don't have any DLC at all even if I have DAO Ultimate Edition, the game doesn't work as it should, and no one knows how to fix it. So, I want to try Steam version but I don't have the money to buy a new one...
If anyone knows how to or if it's impossible, I'd be really gratefull.
The game cannot be transferred from Origin to Steam, only the other way around. Save files and characters are stored in a seperate location and should work in either version.
I don't know what to do about your missing files. The DLC is a simple fix though. The DLC should start downloading once you log into your EA account in-game. If not, you should be able to register all of your CD keys on the Bioware Social Network and DL them manually from there.
